There were four of us LTs from Artillery OCS with the 173rd at Dak-To; Jerry Shoemaker, Richard Busenlehner, Liam Atkins and myself. Jerry and Richard died, Liam ended up with serious PTSD and is in prison--and I survived.

For all of you young paratroopers who wear the Presidential Citation from Vietnam--it was well earned.
